The Dawes Spire 1.0 Crossbar electric bike features a crossbar frame with an integrated 360Wh battery, providing over 40 miles (64 km) of assisted pedalling. Powered by a Bafang rear hub motor, the bike delivers reliable performance with 32Nm of torque, making uphill climbs and flat terrain effortless. The Samsung battery, which meets strict UK and EU safety standards, can be charged on or off the bike in five hours and is easily removable with an integrated lock for security.

The bike is equipped with an intuitive display system that offers five power assist modes, tracking ride data such as speed, distance, and battery level. A walk assist mode is also included to help push the bike uphill when needed. The Spire 1.0’s Shimano Altus 1x8 speed gearing and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes ensure smooth control and handling, while a 70mm suspension fork with hydraulic lockout absorbs bumps on rough terrain.

Rider comfort is prioritised with a Selle Royal Freeway saddle, ergonomic grips, and alloy city pedals. The 700x45c Kenda tyres provide grip, puncture protection, and increased visibility with reflective detailing. Additionally, the bike comes standard with LED lights powered by the battery, a rear pannier rack, mudguards, and a kickstand, making it a practical choice for commuting and leisure rides.

Dawes electric bikes typically arrive in 2-3 working days of your order date for the 85% assembled models. For this delivery option, the bike is mostly built but the front wheel and brakes/gears will need to be adjusted.

Our Dawes fully assembled electric models take a little longer, typically delivered in 3-6 working days dependant on how busy we are.

Recommended Rider Heights:

Medium: 5'4" to 5'10" (162cm to 178cm)

Large: 5'10" to 6'2" (178cm to 188cm)

Every Dawes bike we supply includes a manufacturer's warranty valid for the original owner, with coverage as follows:

• 5 Years: All rigid steel and titanium frames and forks.
• 3 Years: All rigid alloy frames and forks.
• 1 Year: Suspension frames/forks, paintwork and decals, carbon fibre frames/forks, original parts, suspension components, electrical components, and branded components.

Branded components such as SR Suntour, Rockshox, Shimano, and Avid are covered by their respective manufacturer’s warranty.

The warranty excludes normal wear and tear, improper assembly or maintenance, installation of incompatible parts, damage from accidents or misuse, and labour or transport costs for replacements. Proof of purchase and product registration are required to make a claim, and the warranty is only valid for the original owner from the date of purchase.
