At Bike Yard Online, we ensure your order is handled with care and delivered promptly. Our clear shipping policy lets you know exactly what to expect.

Order Confirmation Process

After placing your order:

  • Your payment method is pre-authorised, but not charged. This means your bank temporarily reserves the amount, but no money leaves your account until stock is confirmed.
  • We check stock availability directly with the warehouse or supplier of your chosen product.
  • If the product is in stock, we complete the payment and arrange immediate dispatch.
  • If the item is unavailable or on backorder, we cancel the pre-authorisation and notify you accordingly.

Shipping Your Order

We aim to make delivery as smooth and transparent as possible – here is what you can expect:

  • Orders are usually dispatched in 1-5 working days if items are in stock.
  • In most cases, delivery will occur 2-4 working days after your order is placed, but may take up to 15 working days depending on the product and supplier (such as AiTour cargo bikes, which are built to order and imported from the EU).
  • For precise delivery estimates, please refer to the shipping information listed on each product's page.
  • Tracking details (where available) are emailed or sent by text within 48 hours of dispatch. If not received within 3 working days, please contact our customer support team at hello@bikeyardonline.co.uk for assistance.
  • Delivery schedules may vary based on the specific brand of the product ordered.

Delivery Locations

  • We currently offer shipping only within the United Kingdom; international shipping is not yet available.
  • We offer free delivery on all UK mainland orders over £200. However, we may need to pass on a surcharge for remote areas (such as the Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands, or Northern Ireland), which will be communicated prior to dispatch.

Inspecting Your Delivery

We encourage you to carefully inspect your delivery upon arrival.

  • If you notice any damage, we recommend refusing the delivery of the damaged item(s).
  • Should damage be discovered post-delivery, please send clear photographs and/or videos of the damage to hello@bikeyardonline.co.uk within 48 hours, allowing us to initiate an insurance claim on your behalf.
