Battery and Range

Choose between two removable lithium battery options, both securely integrated for a sleek appearance and convenient charging. The standard 450Wh battery delivers up to 60 miles (95km) of assisted range, while the extended 700Wh version allows for longer journeys of up to 90 miles (140km). Whichever option you choose, you’ll benefit from reliable performance and reduced range anxiety on longer rides.

Thumb Throttle and Assistance Modes

A convenient thumb throttle gives you added support whenever needed. Engage walk-assist at up to 4mph (6km/h) for pushing the bike on foot, or activate the power boost feature to reach speeds of up to 15.5mph (25km/h) while pedalling—perfect for quick getaways and tackling steeper inclines without breaking a sweat.

Rugged Frame and Durable Build

Constructed from hand-welded 6061 Alloy and tempered using both T4 and T6 processes, the Wayfarer H9 frame is built to withstand tough conditions while offering a comfortable, upright ride. The bold Pillar Box Red and Sky Blue colourways are finished with six layers of hard-wearing paint, ensuring lasting durability with eye-catching style.

Suspension and Handling

Take on rougher routes in comfort thanks to Suntour XCM 30 front suspension forks, offering 100mm of responsive travel to soak up bumps and trail chatter. Wide 760mm eMTB anodised black handlebars further enhance control, giving you a stable, confident riding position—especially useful on more technical ground.

Clear LCD Display

Stay informed throughout your ride with Wisper’s backlit LCD display. Mounted neatly on the handlebars, it offers real-time data including speed, assistance level, battery status, and trip distance. Intuitive remote controls allow for on-the-go adjustments without taking your eyes off the trail.

How It Works

When you order a Wisper full-throttle eBike, we’ll arrange for it to be tested by the DVSA and approved as an L1e category 250W Low Powered Moped. To meet Type Approval requirements, bikes must have front and rear lights operated from a single switch (such as this one).

The bike needs to be inspected at an approved MVSA centre for Single Vehicle Approval (SVA) tests. These tests ensure that the eBike complies with current Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) regulations. After the test, we receive a British National Type Approval certificate, which is specific to your bike’s frame number. This certificate is valid for the bike's lifetime and doesn’t require renewal, unlike an MOT.

When not using the throttle, the bike functions like a standard eBike, with no impact on regular EAPC features.

As of November 2025, wait times are approximately 10-12 weeks from your order date due to the time it now takes to book a slot with the DVSA for type approval.

At Bike Yard Online, we can now deliver Wisper e-bikes without the throttle so you can start riding straight away instead of waiting 2–3 months for delivery. Once your bike is with you, contact us and we will arrange a DVSA slot to fit the legal throttle at a later date. When the time comes, just send the bike back and we will handle everything. Costs and Warranty

We offer a complete certification service for £299 with new bikes purchased from us. This includes the test fee, software upgrade, transportation to the test centre, and a £45 fee to extend the warranty to cover throttle use.

If you're taking your Wisper bike abroad, it’s your responsibility to check the local legal requirements. Wisper can re-restrict your bike for a £55 fee at their HQ in Kent and de-restrict it when you return.

Wisper e-bikes are typically delivered in 2-6 working days from your order date.

All Wisper e-bikes come with a comprehensive two year warranty on electrical and bike parts with five years on frames.

Klarna

Klarna’s "Pay Later" lets you receive your order upfront and pay within a set period (usually between 2 weeks and 2 months) with no interest or fees. In their app, you can pay early or extend the due date if needed.

Klarna also offers "Pay in 3" which splits the total into three equal interest-free instalments.
