The Ampere X-Trail is road legal and EAPC compliant as supplied - the motor only helps while you pedal, up to 15.5mph.

You can also have it with an optional throttle, fitted before delivery - just add the Ampere E-Bike Throttle to your basket with this bike. Top speed stays at 15.5mph with the throttle.

Please note: with the throttle fitted, the bike is no longer road legal and can only be ridden on private land with the landowner's permission. The throttle can't be added to Cycle to Work orders.

Ampere electric bikes typically arrive in 2-3 working days of your order date.

Ampere bikes are 90-95% built and fully inspected before dispatch. You'll just need to fit the front wheel, pedals, seatpost and battery, and straighten the handlebars (for shipping reasons).

Customer feedback confirms that the bike is easy to assemble, and instructions are provided in the box.

The Ampere X-Trail 29" is suitable for riders 6ft – 6ft5 (183–196 cm).

The Ampere X-Trail 27.5" is suitable for riders 5ft5 – 6ft (165–183 cm).

If you are between sizes, we always recommend sizing down because a smaller bike can always be made larger (e.g. with a longer stem and/or seat post), but a larger bike can not be made smaller.
