A well-rounded and welcome addition to our home-grown Basis brand, and one of our favourites to date!

Built around a lightweight 17" alloy frame, the Protocol combines hardtail rigidity at the rear for solid performance, with Suntour front suspension that offers comfort, control over challenging terrain, and versatile handling. The 700c deep-V wheels paired with chunky CST hybrid tyres make it perfect for fast-paced commuting, while also holding its own as a capable trekking bike.

The 7Ah 36V tubular battery available in 7Ah is cleverly concealed within the frame, a feature that’s been a hit on previous models. This sleek integration reduces bulk, hides the electric components, balances the centre of gravity, and keeps the battery safe and secure. Power assistance and battery level are controlled through a large LCD handlebar-mounted display.

Designed as a dependable daily rider, the Protocol is equipped with front and rear mechanical disc brakes and a Shimano 6-speed gearing system. While it’s not a purebred of any one style, the Protocol strikes just the right balance to deliver a smooth, enjoyable two-wheeled experience.

Shipping & Delivery

Basis e-bikes are typically delivered 95% assembled in 2 to 4 working days.

You will just need to attach the pedals and straighten the handlebars and you're ready to ride! Full instructions are provided, but if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Please note: During exceptionally busy periods, Basis e-bikes may take an extra couple of days to arrive.

Suitable for people from 5ft6” to 6ft, but every individual is different and we have happy customers above and below these heights.
