The HOY Pentland Kids Bike - Designed in Great Britain | Inspired by Gold

The HOY Pentland is a lightweight, geared kids bike that grows with your child, from their first gears on the 20" to longer rides and light trails on the 24" and 26". Every size shares the same triple-butted aluminium frame design, disc brakes and Shimano gearing, scaled to fit the rider.

Which size is right?

• 20" wheels - the perfect introduction to geared cycling for riders aged around 6 to 8. Weighing just 8.2kg, with a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain and short 127mm cranks sized for younger legs.
• 24" wheels - the ideal progression for riders aged 8 and above who are ready for longer distances and more varied terrain, with a Shimano 8-speed drivetrain and 140mm cranks.
• 26" wheels - for riders aged 9 and above who want to go further and faster, with a Shimano 8-speed drivetrain and 152mm cranks.

Every Pentland has disc-specific wheels with 160mm Tektro mechanical disc brakes, internal cable routing for a tidy frame, wide riser handlebars for stability and treaded tyres that grip on tarmac, gravel paths and park trails. A custom HOY junior saddle and a quick-release seatpost clamp make height adjustments easy as your child grows.

Choose the wheel size by your child's height and inside leg measurement:

• 20" - ages 6+, height from 113cm (3'8"), inside leg from 53.5cm
• 24" - ages 8+, height from 127cm (4'2"), inside leg from 57cm
• 26" - ages 9+, height from 145cm (4'9"), inside leg from 70cm

If your child is between sizes, we recommend sizing up to account for growth.
